This Privacy Policy sets out how the app bee² Beekeeping Assistant ('bee²' 'the app') uses and protects your personal data.
Summary
bee² doesn't collect any of your personal information, other than information you voluntarily provide when communicating with the bee² team. Any information provided will not be shared with anyone.
User Data
All user data is stored locally on the users devices and is never seen by us or shared with a third party. If iCloud is enabled data may also be stored securely on Apple's servers.
App Permissions
The app will request permission to access certain features of a device, if those features are needed to provide specific app functions and will not be used for other purposes.
Camera & Photos - Needed to add photos to user data directly from the camera or from the photos app.
Location Data - Used by the app to add GPS information to user data and plot locations on the map.
Microphone - Used to provide voice to text conversion. Some data will be sent to Apple's servers during this process.
Crash Logs & Analytics
Apple will collect anonymised crash logs and statistics our behalf if you have given them permission to do so. This information helps us fix problems with the app and may contain things like the OS version or hardware model of the device the crash occurred on.
